How MCS uses it

01

Applied after fabrication

MCS does not use pre-coated ready-made sheet. Pre-coated stock leaves raw, uncoated metal at every cut and every joint; coating the finished piece keeps the colour continuous.

02

PVD finishes

Gold, rose gold, champagne gold, black and bronze, on stainless steel. PVD is a vacuum deposition process and suits stainless rather than aluminium or mild steel.

03

Powder coating

For mild steel, aluminium and galvanised work, in any RAL. The practical choice for louvers, sub-frames and external work where PVD is not appropriate.

04

Choosing between them

Different substrates, different appearance, different cost. PVD reads as metal because it is a metal layer; powder coating reads as a coating. Neither is simply better.

05

Samples

Colour should be signed off on physical metal in the intended finish. No photograph or printed swatch reproduces a metallic finish honestly.

06

Batch consistency

Where a project runs across several batches, the batching plan should be agreed up front — this is a question worth asking at order stage, not at snagging.
