Copper
Distinctive from the moment it is installed and never static afterwards. Copper changes continuously with exposure, from bright through brown to green given enough time and weather.

Detail
Specifying copper
| Properties | Highly conductive, very ductile, and the most visually active metal in the range — its appearance is a function of time and environment. |
|---|---|
| Where to specify | Feature walls, shingles, water features, bar cladding and decorative screens where the change over time is intended. |
| Finishes | Mirror, brushed, antique. Lacquer slows the change; it does not stop it. |
| Fabrication notes | Very soft. It marks under fingernails, so handling discipline through fabrication and installation matters more than with any other metal here. |
| A note on claims | Copper's antimicrobial behaviour is widely documented in the literature, but MCS does not publish a performance claim for it without test data on the actual product. Ask if this matters to your specification. |
