Every finish and every metal we work, on a swatch plate with the MCS mark laser cut in the corner. The face shows the finish, the cut shows a clean laser edge. The pictures on this page are renderings: ask for the physical swatch before you specify.

SS 304Mirror
Polished in stages until the surface reflects fully. On stainless steel, brass and copper.
SS 304Hairline
A fine, even grain in one direction: the most used architectural finish on stainless steel.
SS 304Matte
A low sheen with no grain direction; it scatters light instead of reflecting an image.
SS 304Bead blast
An even, fine texture made by blasting with glass bead; the same in every direction.
BrassAntique
Brushed and darkened on purpose, on brass, bronze and copper.
PVDGold
A warm gold film over a hairline face, on stainless steel only.
PVDRose gold
A gold with a pink tone, softer and quieter than yellow gold.
PVDChampagne gold
A pale gold, the quietest of the family and the easiest over large areas.
PVDBronze
A warm, dark metallic brown on stainless steel, without the weight or patina of bronze.
PowderPowder coating
Any RAL colour on aluminium, mild steel and GI; shown here in an anthracite grey.

MetalStainless steel
SS 304, 316 and 202; shown in its 2B mill surface.
MetalAluminium
Light, and the base for powder coating; shown as mill finish.
MetalBrass
Warm yellow metal for trims, inlays and handles; shown in hairline.
MetalBronze
Deeper and browner than brass; shown brushed.
MetalCopper
Red metal that darkens with age unless it is lacquered; shown brushed.
MetalMild steel
Cold-rolled sheet, usually powder coated after fabrication.
MetalZinc
A soft blue-grey metal; shown in its natural surface.
MetalGalvanized iron
Steel coated with zinc; the crystals on the face are the spangle.
