The sheet metal studio for B2B projects

Laser → V-groove → bend → weld → finish → inspect. One chain, one workshop in Delhi, your drawing. The whole Studio on one page.

Material

Brass

Solid brass, not brass-plated steel. It is warm and bright, and it changes over time unless it is lacquered. Lacquer is a specification decision: make it before the sample is signed off.

Detail

Specifying brass

PropertiesA warm yellow colour. It machines and polishes very well, is softer than steel, and develops a patina from air and handling.
Where to specifyTrim profiles, inlay strips, handles, lift interiors, bar and reception cladding and decorative screens: anywhere the metal is meant to be noticed.
FinishesMirror, brushed or antique. Lacquered to hold the colour it has on delivery, or left unlacquered to age.
Fabrication notesBrass moves differently from steel on the press brake and shows every handling mark. The order of buffing matters as much as the cutting.
The patina questionAn unlacquered brass detail will not look the same in two years. Some projects want that and for others it is a problem. Agree which before the order.
Brass swatch plate with the MCS mark laser cut through its bottom right corner
The brass swatch plate, from a photograph of the real sheet. Ask for the physical swatch before you specify.
