Every range here is folded from flat sheet to a drawing. Where a corner is seen, we V-groove it first, so the edge closes sharp instead of round.

Material

Zinc

A soft, matte grey metal that weathers to a stable, protective patina. It has long been used for roofs and façades in Europe, as much for its look as for its long life.

Detail

Specifying zinc

PropertiesForms a patina that protects it. Soft, matte look. Very ductile.
Where to specifyFaçade cladding and external panels where the weathered look is intended.
FinishesNatural or pre-weathered. Zinc is not PVD coated.
Fabrication notesVery ductile, and it forms well. Its behaviour depends on temperature: it should not be bent in cold conditions.
Confirm before specifyingConfirm current zinc availability and the minimum order with MCS before you detail around it.
